 Greeffmail

Greeffmail is an email network for members of the Greeff family and relatives of the family. The network serves to promote communication between members of the family and is intended to focus on matters of genealogical significance. In this regard stories about ancestors and what they did is a good example of why the network exists.

Anyone can join the network by subscribing to it. This may mean that you will receive more email than you want!

Subscribing. To join GREEFFMAIL, send an email to GREEFF-L-request@rootsweb.com with the single word subscribe as the message subject and content.

Unsubscribing. To leave GREEFFMAIL, send an email to GREEFF-L-request@rootsweb.com with the single word unsubscribe as the message subject and content.

Once you have subscribed to Greeffmail you can post a message to the list by sending an email to:
  GREEFF@rootsweb.com

  • Archives. You can search the archives for a specific message or browse them, going from one message to another. Some list archives are not available; if there is a link here to an archive but the link doesn't work, it probably just means that no messages have been posted to that list yet.
  •

    Greeffmail users are politely requested:
    1. Use a relevant description of the topic of your letter, especially when using the reply function.
    2. Email someone directly (offline) in order to pass information that is not important to all members of Greeffmail, eg thank you, congratulations, jokes, etc.
    3. A member's email address will appear in the heading of an email once one has clicked on FORWARD. Copy and paste the address for private communications.
    4. Please be careful not to generate mail that other members may consider a waste of time, or spam.
    5. Please be 'politically correct' at all times. We are guests on the Rootsweb system and all letters are stored permanently in the archives, where non members and all people in the world can read them.
