  1. 1.  Philippe MINNAAR, b5 was born in 1682 in Provence, France; was christened in 1682 in France; died in 1751.

    Notes:

    In 1707 he worked for the Susanne Briet, widow of Isaac Taillefert at "Leeuwenvallei" Wagenmakersvallei. Became joint owner of "Parys" and "Klein Drakenstein" after he married Jeanne Mouy in comunity of property. On 25.11.1728 he bought the farm "De Veerkeyker" in "Het Land van Waveren" from Estienne Bruere and on 31.3.1729 he bought the adjoining farm "Salmonsvlei" from Pieter le Roux.

    Gespel as Mesnard of Minnaar. Volgens Pama 1 werk hy in 1707 by die weduwee Taillefert.

    The French name of Mesnard became the Dutch Minnaar with very similar pronunciation.
    He married Jeanne Mouy, daughter of Pierre Mouy and widow of Jean le Roux, onm 7 May 1712.
    They settled at Wagenmakersvallei.

    Philippe married Jeanne MOUY, b2 on 7 May 1712 in Stellenbosch, Cape, South Africa. Jeanne (daughter of Pierre MOUY and Mrs MOUY) was born in 1686 in Saint Amand, Calais, France; was christened in 1688 in France; died in 1711 in Cape, South Africa. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
