Arrived 1688 on the ship Berg China together with her husband Pierre Joubert. Her name and that of her spouse Pierre Malan, is shown on the ships manifest of the Berg China. The probability is thus that Susanne Reyne and Pierre Malan died before the Berg China arrived in Table Bay.
There were rumours that Isabeau Richard and her future son-in-law Guillaume Loret committed adultery. The minister Henricus Beck implemented church discipline as a result in 1707.

She arrived at the Cape on 4 August 1688 (the year of her marriage)in the shipBerg China which left Rotterdam 20 March 1688. Her husband arrived on the sameship, but we do not know at which end of the journey they married - was it a honeymoon voyage or a shipboard romance?
