    Anna is op 5.6.1698, toe 22 jaar oud, deur die skipper Cornelis Keeleman aan Gerrit Meyer verkoop vir 54 Rds. Meyer het in 1693 vanaf Nederland gekom, en is getroud met Susanna Costeux, 'n dogter van Franse vlugtelinge. Christiaan Weinock het op 20.12.1702 'n erf in Taffelvallei, aangrensend aan Kerkplein, gekoop. Weinock het in 1703 sy totale eiendom aan Jan Laurentz verkoop, en dit moes toe gewees het dat sy die eiendom van Geringer geword het. Die skrywer maak die afleiding dat die Laurentz-huishouding om een of ander rede nie vir Anna wou terugneem nie.     Sy raak na Bock se dood betrokke in 'n buite-egtelike verhouding met Jacob Marik, volgens hofsake tussen hom en Geringer, 'n geslepe bedrieër. 'n Kind word uit die verhouding gebore op 6.3.1718. Geringer is oorlede in 1719.

    Christiaan BOK was from Wolfenbütel, North Germany. He was 27 and asoldier when he arrived at the Cape in 1696. He came out with Geringerand they became business partners. He had the following children withex-slave Anna van BENGAL also known as Anna GROOTHENNING. She and herchild Anna was baptised 1 January 1713. They got married 5 February 1713.
    Anna Groothenning came as a slave from Bengale and became the slave ofthe baker Hans Casper Geringer. Geringer had a child out of wedlock withAnna, this child was born in 1703 and was called Maria Groothenning /Maria Bock / Maria van die Kaap. In 1709 Anna Groothenning and her fourchildren Michiel, Maria, Catharina and Johanna were manumitted 27 August1709 by Geringer.

    Anna Groothenning and her children were baptised on 1 January 1713 inCape Town. Geringer and Christaan Bok were business partners.

    Bok died in 1716. Anna Groothenning had also children with Hans CasparGeringer, a girl named Maria. Geringer passed away in 1719.
    Anna then had an affair with Jacob Marik, she had a son who was born 6March 1718 named Jacob baptised 6 March 1718. Marik and Geringer had somelegal cases against one another.
