  Alt Birth: 1672 Contrai, France !Du Preez Family electronic book page 77 b2 Herculé was a French Huguenot refugee from Courtrai. He arrived in the Cape in 1688 on the ship "Schelde," with his parents from Vlissingen, Netherlands. He was a member of the "Kollege van Landdrost" and heemrade of Stellenbosch.
