 Love's Argument

'Love's Argument' is a small volume (43 pages) of poems written by Adele Greeff and published by the Macmillan Company, New York, in 1952. The foreword is by Mark van Doren. The book was printed in the USA. I found my (signed) first edition copy at Hay-on-Wye, UK, in 2005.

If you have any information (including photographs) about Adele Greeff or her family please email it to Francois Greeff at:

Please add genealogical data you wish to submit in a gedcom file as an attachment to your letter.

The shortest poem in the book is 'Readily at Hand':

Mallows bloom in brackish swamps,
Cacti in dry sand -
Each succeeding with the things
Readily at hand.
